Meet the Founder
Evan Spaulding, founder of Flamtap Capital, is a seasoned financial executive with a passion for helping small businesses grow and thrive.
With more than 20 years of experience guiding companies through both growth and transition, he brings a steady hand and a people-first approach to every partnership.
Evan has been twice nominated for the Austin Business Journal’s CFO of the Year and holds a BBA and MPA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business, and has been a CPA in Texas since 1997.
Through Flamtap Capital, he focuses on acquiring and scaling exceptional small businesses - preserving what founders built while creating new opportunities for teams and communities to flourish.
Outside of work, Evan is passionate about giving back. He previously served as Board Chair and Finance Committee Chair for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas, strengthening its mission and impact.
A lifelong musician, Evan performed with the University of Texas Longhorn Band and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, where he and his bandmates won the 1992 Drum Corp International World Championship.
